A sala do imóvel dos anos 1970, em Porto Alegre, RS, cresceu 50% ao absorver a área das antigas dependências de serviço. E esse não foi o único ganho: ela ainda se encheu de luz natural e conquistou uma ventilação cruzada até então inexistente. As novas linhas arquitetônicas evocam a contemporaneidade, enquanto o mobiliário congrega itens da época, reedições do meio do século 20 e criações atuais. Tudo sobre o piso de tacos de ipê original do apartamento e em conexão visual com a praça do outro lado das esquadrias do chão ao teto. The living room of this 1970s apartment in Porto Alegre, RS, grew by 50% when it absorbedthe area of the former service rooms. And that wasn’t the only benefit – it was also filled with natural light and gained cross-ventilation, which had previously been absent. The new architectural lines evoke a contemporary feel, while the furniture brings together period items, re-editions of mid-20th-century pieces, and recent creations. All this rests on the apartment’s original ipê parquet floor, visually connected to the town square through floor-to-ceiling windows.
